DESCRIPTION:Thursday\n\n\n\nWeekly guided walks. The Active Together Walking Project supports a number of free walks that run weekly in the Borough. They are open to all abilities and have different difficulty gradings on all walks to ensure you can select the best walk for you. A = Easy\, B = Moderate\, C = A little more vigorous  Walks are led by volunteer walk leaders or our staff. The walk volunteers and staff are kind and welcoming\, and provide a friendly opportunity for you to come and walk\, explore new routes\, and meet new people.The walk will leave from opposite Kiddrow Lane Health Centre on the Greenway. Class A and B walks available and walks will last between 45 and 60 minutes. \n\n\n\nHow can I take part in one of these walks?\n\n\n\nSimply come along. New walkers will be asked to fill in a registration form before going on their first walk. This can be done just before the walk so please turn up 10 minutes earlier to your first walk.If possible contact our walk leader beforehand so we know to expect you.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday\n\n\n\nWeekly guided walks. The Active Together Walking Project supports a number of free walks that run weekly in the Borough. They are open to all abilities and have different difficulty gradings on all walks to ensure you can select the best walk for you. A = Easy\, B = Moderate\, C = A little more vigorous  Walks are led by volunteer walk leaders or our staff. The walk volunteers and staff are kind and welcoming\, and provide a friendly opportunity for you to come and walk\, explore new routes\, and meet new people.The walk will leave from opposite Kiddrow Lane Health Centre on the Greenway. Class A and B walks available and walks will last between 45 and 60 minutes. \n\n\n\nHow can I take part in one of these walks?\n\n\n\nSimply come along. New walkers will be asked to fill in a registration form before going on their first walk. This can be done just before the walk so please turn up 10 minutes earlier to your first walk.If possible contact our walk leader beforehand so we know to expect you.

DESCRIPTION:This is a family event with plenty for all! \n\n\n\nThere will be stalls to promote local business\, a large gathering of military vehicles from across the tri services \, climbing walls\, inflatable assault courses\, light guns\, funfair rides for the children as well as food and sweet stalls. \n\n\n\nMilitary vehicles will also be on display with around 20 vehicles attending on the day\, as well as all 3 emergency services with fire engines\, ambulances\, police cars\, police horses as well as the dog section. \n\n\n\nA range of Military charities from across the east Lancashire will also be attending to promote the work they do and the support they offer. The veterans foundation will also be there to help gather lottery sign ups\, which will directly support military charities and organisations with grant funding in the future. In addition the Star wars (5th legion ) team are helping to raise funds\, which is also a photo opportunity for families. \n\n\n\nThere will also be various dance troops performing on the day from Preston and Burnley college performing arts group. \n\n\n\nHealthier Heroes CIC provides support to ex-service personnel\, their families and carers who are struggling with an array of complex requirements and support\, as well as members of the NHS and other blue light services. The support offered to our service users includes housing\, education\, employment\, tackling isolation and health and wellbeing. \n\n\n\nThis year all funds raised will be split between Healthier Heroes\, RBL and Pendleside hospice.
