OutdoorTown Explorers
We bring people together to explore, care for and enjoy Burnley’s green spaces. Through the Ernest Cook Outdoor Town Explorers project, we lead fun, hands-on activities in schools, communities, parks and natural spaces that help people reconnect with nature and support local wildlife.
Whether it’s planting trees, creating wildflower meadows, restoring forgotten spaces or learning new skills, everyone is welcome to get involved. We support residents to take pride in their local green spaces, build confidence and share knowledge, while working alongside local volunteer groups to make Burnley greener, healthier and more biodiverse.
Don’t forget to check the Events and Activities section for any upcoming Outdoor Town Explorer opportunities near you. Join us, get outdoors, meet new people and help nature thrive.
