Discover the final section of the Burnley Way on this varied and rewarding route, a linear walk of around 7–8 miles that takes you through a mix of countryside, woodland and local landmarks. The route will take you through the market town of Padiham along the banks of the river Calder before picking up the canal towpath towards Burnley, passing the Weavers Triangle and other heritage sites.

As part of the wider 40-mile route, this stretch can be enjoyed on its own or combined with other sections to build your own longer journey. While the route is linear, it’s easy to link it back using local bus routes or connecting paths, or take on the full Burnley Way to complete a circular adventure around the borough.

It’s a great way to explore a different side of Burnley, whether you’re out for a shorter walk or looking to follow the trail further and discover even more along the way.
