What better way to spend Friday 13th than with a stroll around Burnley Cemetery guided by local historian Roger Frost.
Roger is a retired teacher/lecturer, born right here in Burnley and has written over 30 local history publications.
Founded in 1857, when the graveyard at St Peter’s was declared to be full, the Rossendale Road site has been used ever since, the last resting place of cotton masters, brewers, musicians, architects and many more.
Join the walk to find out about the many of the people who contributed to the Burnley that we know today who are memorialised in Burnley’s cemetery.
Meeting Point
