The friends of Towneley park meet every Thursday at the Friends Meeting Room. The meeting room can be found near the bowling green behind the Italian gardens and close to Offshoots community garden.
The group undertake an array of different gardening activities, along with cleaning signs, refurbishing benches and any little jobs that help keep the park welcoming and attractive for all visitors.
It is a fab way to learn new skills, and meet new people whilst taking pride in local spaces. Anyone is welcome to come along, and the group always finish with a brew, biscuit and a chat.
