Come for a walk with the National trust Ranger through the wider estate at Gawthorpe and learn about the challenges to conservation and what work is being carried out to improve biodiversity.
Discover the different types of woodland present on site and learn about the different ancient woodland features found there.
The walk will head into the woods up Habergham Drive. The pace will slow as we talk about the woodland and ecology on route. The walk will then head through the woods down towards the car park venturing through the woods towards the river Calder before heading back. The walk is roughly 2.5km (1 ½ miles) and is likely to take just over an hour.
